Privacy Notice

Effective from 16 October 2026.
This notice covers this independent guide to Astromania Casino and nothing beyond it. We describe the data this site handles one category at a time, so that a reader can find the category that applies and see what happens to it. The casino itself is a separate service with its own account data, described in a later section only so that readers know what they would hand over there.

Who decides what happens to your data

The editorial team of this site decides why and how personal data is handled here, which makes it the controller for the categories below. The one route for any privacy question is [email protected]. Readers in the United Kingdom are protected by UK data protection law, and the supervisory authority is the Information Commissioner’s Office, ico.org.uk.

Category one: messages you send us

When you write to our contact address, we receive your e-mail address, the name you choose to give, the text of your message and any attachment you add. We use it for one purpose: to read your message, answer it and, where you reported a mistake, correct the page. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in running a correct and responsive information site, and the message is the only reason we hold the data.
A thread is kept while it is needed to deal with the question and any follow-up, and is then deleted. Please leave out passwords, card numbers and copies of identity documents. We never need them to answer a question about a page, and if you send them we have to delete the message unread.

Category two: visit data created by loading a page

Every website receives technical details when a page is requested, such as the address of the page, the time of the request and the type of browser and device. This data arrives whether or not you do anything on the page. We use it to keep the site working, to find broken pages and to understand which topics readers look for. We do not use it to identify a person, and we do not combine it with messages sent to us.

Category three: cookies and similar files

Cookies are small files that a browser stores for a site. Essential ones keep pages displaying correctly. Any cookie that is not essential, for instance one that measures visits, is used only if you agree to it, and you can withdraw that consent at any time by deleting the stored files in your browser settings. Declining non-essential cookies does not limit what you can read on any page.

Category four: data you give to the casino, which we never see

Astromania Casino collects its own data when a player registers: an e-mail address, a password and a preferred currency, followed by an e-mail confirmation link. Before the first withdrawal it asks for verification with a government-issued ID and proof of address, and usually proof of the payment method. That information goes to the casino, not to us, and the casino decides how it is used. Our pages describe these steps so that you know what to expect; we neither receive nor store any of it. A player who wants to know how the casino treats those documents should ask the casino itself.

Who receives data

We do not sell personal data and we do not share messages with advertisers. Data may be passed on in three situations only: to the provider that hosts this site or delivers its e-mail, which handles the data on our instructions; to a professional adviser when we need advice on a legal question; and to an authority when the law requires it. Hosting and e-mail providers can sit outside the United Kingdom. When that happens, the transfer is covered by an adequacy arrangement or standard contractual clauses.

How data is protected

Access to the contact mailbox is limited to the editorial team, and messages are removed once the matter is closed. No system on this site holds passwords, payment details or ID documents, because the site has no accounts and takes no payments. A security problem that put personal data at risk would be assessed promptly, reported to the ICO where the law requires it and communicated to the affected readers.

Your rights

Under UK data protection law you can ask us for a copy of the personal data we hold about you, correction of anything inaccurate, deletion where there is no reason to keep it, a limit on how we use it, and a halt to processing that rests on our legitimate interest. Where processing rests on your consent, you can withdraw it at any time. To use any of these rights, write to the contact address and name the message or the date you contacted us, so that we can find the right thread. We answer within one month of receiving a request that we can identify.
If you are unhappy with an answer, you may complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office through ico.org.uk. You can do that without contacting us first.

Readers under 18

This site is written for adults. The minimum age for gambling in Great Britain is 18, and so is the age at which Astromania Casino accepts players. If a message turns out to come from someone under 18, we delete it and do not continue the exchange.

Changes to this notice

When this notice changes in a way that affects how your data is used, the effective date at the top is updated and the new text replaces the old one on the same page. The date above, 16 October 2026, applies to the version you are reading.
